The future of Chapelcross is closely connected to the communities that surround it.

For generations, the site has supported employment, skills and economic activity across Dumfries and Galloway. Our ambition is for its next chapter to continue creating opportunities for local people and businesses.

CX Technology Campus has the potential to support significant employment during construction and operation, increase demand throughout local and regional supply chains and create new training and skills pathways linked to digital infrastructure, engineering, construction and energy.

CX Tech Limited is developing a long-term Community Wealth Building approach centred on ensuring the economic opportunities created by the campus are accessible across the local area.

Community engagement is also an important part of the development process.

Public information events have already been held in Creca and Annan, giving local people the opportunity to meet members of the project team, review the proposals, ask questions and provide feedback.
